Association headquarters recognized as a test center

The headquarters of the Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V. in Bad Wörishofen, Bavaria, where the association's first reference facility is being built, was recently officially listed as a test center of the Industry 4.0 platform. On the Map test centers Research and development institutions throughout Germany are shown where Industrie 4.0 applications are being tested..

This makes the association headquarters of the Industry Business Network 4.0, which houses, among other things, a showroom with two cutting, filtering, compressed air, environmental and gas technologies, one of currently 65 official test centers throughout Germany. In the future, it will be possible to experience live there the added value that networked production can generate, especially for small and medium-sized companies. In Bad Wörishofen, the networking of complex production facilities will be tried out, tested and further developed under realistic conditions - and on the basis of an industry standard initiated by the association called IF4.0which makes the fundamental work of the Industrie 4.0 platform manageable for practice.

Background: The Industry 4.0 platform

The Industrie 4.0 platform was founded in 2013 as a joint project of the German industry associations BITKOM, VDMA and ZVEI to further develop and implement the future-oriented Industrie 4.0 project of the German government's High-Tech Strategy. In 2015, the platform was expanded to include stakeholders from companies, associations, trade unions, science and politics. The focus of the platform's work is to bundle expertise relating to Industry 4.0 and make it available to German companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.
